Teletherapy / Telehealth

I’ve made the switch to an all-teletherapy (telehealth) practice, which means much more convenience for everyone. It also means more personal safety—for example, from COVID-19–and a little more privacy since you won’t run the risk of running into any other clients, who might be friends or neighbors or coworkers of yours. Yes, it happens!

I currently use SimplePractice for our teletherapy sessions, because it is a HIPAA-compliant platform that uses several layers of encryption to ensure your sessions will always be confidential. FaceTime, for example, cannot and should not be used for teletherapy, since it is not a HIPAA-compliant platform and cannot guarantee confidentiality.
